UNION BANK PENSIONERS & RETIREES ASSOCIATION MAHARASHTRA STATE

(Regd. no.Maha /965 / 2018 /Pune dated 14.12.2018 under Indian Societies Act,1860 and under Charity Act vide Regi.no.F-54577/Pune dated 29.9.2020.)

Earlier there was only one Association of the retirees and pensioners of Union Bank of India under the banner of retirees & pensioners association Mumbai. As it was very difficult for the retirees to approach the office bearers of the association as well as the administrative offices of the bank for redressal of the grievances / problems / issues faced by the pensioners / retirees, it was felt necessary to have a separate association of the retirees and pensioners of Union Bank of India at Pune where the office of Field General Manager is established. The ex-office bearers of the association and all the retired veterans had series of deliberations for formation of the Unit and accordingly the matter was taken up with the All India Pensioners & Retirees Federation for formation of a separate unit for Maharashtra and after their approval a separate unit of retirees & pensioners was established at Pune on 01.12.2013 in the name of “UNION BANK PENSIONERS & RETIREES ASSOCIATION M.S.( EXCLUDING MUMBAI) which was subsequently amended as " UNION BANK PENSIONERS & RETIREES ASSOCIATION MAHARASHTRA STATE". The function of formation of the unit was graced by the Field General Manager, other executives of the FGMO / RO Pune and all India leaders. The office bearers of the unit were elected. Initial donation of Rs. 25000/- was given by Late Com. BhagwanKhirid-a true activist and union leader as a good gesture.
